busy weekend!!!

Being a big sister is a lot of work. Since Chey's arrival almost 3 months ago Chev has found that naps are less and less important because she has to help take care of sister! Well because of this it usually results in sleeping at the dinner table. this picture was taken literally seconds after she finished her last chicken nugget. we were supposed to go to dinner with some friends this night for Daddy's 24th birthday but chev insisted on staying home because she was sleepy and wanted to go to bed!!! needless to say we stayed home and she passed out!!! Happy Birthday Daddy! :)

Chey has decided who needs a binky when you have two fingers that get the job done just as easy!!!!!

Chev, sister, mommy, daddy and Aunt Lay-Lee went to Build-A-Bear this weekend where we got the newest member of the household...Ellie the Elephant. Chev LOVES Ellie.

We ventured out to Gilbert for Grandma Fouts 75th birthday. We enjoyed watching all the kids, and of course Papa go down the big water slide! Chev enjoyed it until she realized she lost her monkey bandaid...then all hell broke lose!

Today I recovered from the weekend and slept off and on ALL day, in fact I think I am ready for another nap now! But I did manage to get my kitchen cleaned, grocery shopping done, AND I cooked dinner for the first time in while, sweet BBQ turkey tenderloins with mac and cheese. YUMMY!

After Beth's visit and our discussion on the PERFECT baby carrier she told me about the Mei Tei. I saw it online and fell in love. TOOOO bad most of the ones online ran anywhere from $60-$90...NO WAY. I challenged my mom to make me one. She came through for me! it turned out great. its black on one side and black with white polka dots on the other...totally reversible! I LOVE IT!!! Cheyenne digs it too! Its comfortable too. Were going to sell them online along with some other baby things.

sorry Nana Pink....She likes Walmart

Last night Chev was playing and found her princess wallet, in it there was $4 Daddy had put in it a month or two ago for her. She pulled the money out and went to the front door and tried to open it. We asked her where she was going...she replied "Walmart!" I asked her what she was going to buy there. She walked over and grabbed my warm bottle of sprite and said "new sprite mommy" she then turned to me and did her famous head tilt and nod and said "sprite old yeah!". Sorry NanaPink, I guess she likes walmart! and such a thoughtful little girl to want to spend her money on a new sprite for mommy!!!! who couldn't just adore her!!!

Daddy was walking out the door to go to the store this morning, he stopped and asked Chev if she needed anything, she said yeah puppy, Daddy said you have two you dont need another one. Is there anything else you need? Yeah new teddy, teddy mean, be nice me! which we all know translates to teddy is mean and she wants him to be nice to her. Daddy tells her sorry your not getting a new puppy and your not getting a new teddy is there anything else you might want?........

...."yeah, New sister", she then points to chey who is sleeping in her swing and says "too old!"

when your a nursing/pumping mom, its amazing how how much milk you can get in a pumping session is the highlight of your day.

for the second time this week chev fell asleep eating dinner. She is having soooooo much fun at Nana Pinks house everyday that she doesnt want to take a nap. Shes been so nice and happy that I dont mind. BUT last night she put her last chicken nugget in her mouth and I am pretty sure she slept walk over to the couch looked at me with her eyes rolling and eye lids falling and crawled in my lap and fell asleep before her head hit my chest. POOR little girl. she was so tired. I carried her to bed and she slept until morning when I woke her up.

This morning I told her, get up and get ready to go to Nana's she rubbed her eyes and said "no me still sleepy" and rolled over and went back to sleep.

She is at such a fun age right now.

I love my girls! How did I get so lucky!!!!!

Nana Pink COMPLETELY wore out Chev yesterday. Daddy had to help Papa move Aunt Lay Lee's furniture from her bedroom so we stayed and ate dinner over there. Chev was soooooooooo tired she fell asleep eating. Thankfully Papa put his arm out just as her head went down for the count and caught her. I dont think any of us have ever laughed so hard as we watch her head bob and eye lids slowly close, she kept laughing to keep herself awake.
