First Hair Cut

well Chev got her very first hair cut today. She did AMAZING! She sat so good and let the girl cut/trim her hair. It looks so pretty and she even let the girl put a clip in her hair. I am so proud of her!! We didnt cut much just enough to get it to lay better and not knot up so bad.

two month check up

Chey had her two month check up today. she is doing amazing! She is 22 3/4 inches long. And weighs 11lb 10oz. She is in the 75 percentile for her length and 50 percentile for her weight. She grew almost 2 inches and gained 2lb 5oz in one month!!! WOW she is growing so fast!!!! She held up like a champ with her 6 vaccines today. 5 shots and one oral. POOR BABY! I guess thats the reason she looks so mad in the pictures i took of her today!!!

going back is never easy

Today was my first day back at work. Its never easy going back! Chev made sure this morning I was coming back. Last thing she said as I walked out the door "mommy come back nana's house!" Thankfully for me and for Nana Pink I only worked 4 hours today and the rest of this week!

Aunt Beth and Cousin Maddy

Well we ALL got to meet Aunt Beth and Cousin Maddy (well of course the hubby knew Beth before). Its been a busy past few days. We found out on Wednesday(7/16) that they would be visiting. For TWO WHOLE DAYS Chev did nothing but talk about playing with Maddy and sharing with Maddy, She was soooo excited

On Friday(7/18) we went to Nana and Papa Pinks house to hang out. I have never seen Chev play so well with another kid. She loves Maddy and you can tell Maddy adores her by the way she follows her everywhere she goes. It would be so amazing if Beth, Steve and Maddy moved here. The girls just get along so well and it would be nice to have them close.

After a LONG night of hard playing Friday night(7/18), chev slept until 12:30 am. Chey woke her up by crawling in bed with her

sit and stand!!

After a lot of research and reading reviews...I finally bought the sit and stand stroller. I cant wait to put it together and try it out this weekend!!!!! YAY

sad day for Teddy

Yesterday Daniel and I bragged that Teddy was still all original. Still has his mouth, eyes and bow. After 2 1/2 years he was looking good considering what he has been through. Well today at Barnes and Noble Chev started crying and lift in her sad hand Teddy's bow. She was a mess. Teddy seems to look a little sadder now.

In case anyone doesn't know Teddy is Chev's favorite toy and he literally goes everywhere with us. He is even potty training with Chev and has to wear matching PullUps.

BYE BYE PEE PEE

This morning Chev insisted on wearing big girl panties. I pounded in her mind that she HAD to use the potty. I asked her later if she needed to go, she said NO. A few seconds later she is standing in the doorway upset saying she pee pee'd in her panties. I told her I would give her ONE MORE CHANCE today. If she went pee pee in her panties again we were putting the pullups back on.

Later on I walk by the bathroom to see her panties around her knees and she was on the potty. She jumped up when I walked by so she could show me...SHE WENT PEE PEE!! YAY! we did a little celebration. Before she flushed the toilet she said BYE BYE to her pee. So cute. She was so proud and so was I!

this morning Chev was playing with her little people with Daddy, he started to whistle and she yelled at him "Daddy NO song, wake sister!" Chey was sleeping in her swing and Chev was very concerned daddy's whistling would wake her...WHAT A GREAT BIG SISTER!!!

We visited my dad tonight so we could order pictures from last weekend (by the way the pictures turned out BEYOND adorable!!! I cant wait to pick them up next week) We had Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner. I think it might turn into one of my new favorite pizza places. thankfully there is one SEMI close to the house!! I am anxious to try some more of their different pizzas

On our way home from Avondale we decided to casually quiz Chev on random things. We asked her her age, she answered two. Asked her her name, sisters name, and of course Mommy and Daddy's name, of which she answered Mommy and Daddy! We started asking her what the dogs names were, she answered Sable and Vicious. Then out of no where she keeps saying Ta Ta G. It took us literally 5 minutes to figure out Ta Ta G translated to Taco G....which of course translate to our cats name Mr GirTaco....Daniel calls him Mr G. We came home and she looked everywhere calling out TATA G! It was so cute.

I love a good deal and rain

It pour cats and dogs on Thursday. To celebrate the first BIG monsoon storm we played in the rain. Turns out we got just over 2 inches of rain. It flooded half our street and started to eat our sidewalk and our front yard disappeared

Saturday Chev went with Papa and Nana (my dad and step mom) to get pictures done. I went to lunch with my mom and headed to target. Chev got dropped back off with us there. I got some massive deals. They had shirts in the kids clearance not marked down, when i scanned them they were 39cents. Needless to say I bought quite a few. I even found a super cute onesie/carters dress for Chey for 79cents. Chev rocked her cute 39 cent apple shirt last night. She looked so cute. We ended up going over and keeping Nana Pink company and Chev stayed the night. We had another good day together. I am dreading going back to work!!!

Its what a SAHM does in the Summer

I woke up yesterday and both kids were still asleep so I made some lemon cookies with powder sugar on top...so tasty.

My mom came over to help me with the kids and keep me sane....

She watched Chev while I prepared dinner so it would be ready when Daniel got home. I threw some chicken in the crock pot and made homemade Chicken Adobo. Man did the house smell good!!! And 7 hours later when we ate....it tasted even better then it smelled!! YUMMY its a recipe I am definitely putting in the recipe box.

After that I ventured to Arrowhead Mall with my mom to get the kids out of the house, its free and its cool! I have NEVER seen so many kids at the mall before. I went to take Chev to the indoor play area. I have never seen so many moms, strollers and little ones in one area before. I couldnt get over it. Instead of the play area we all just walked around, Chev drank a fruit smoothie and Nana White and I had an iced coffee from DQ. All the kids stores were having HUGE sales and I bought the girls a few things. Chey slept through the whole mall experience. I had her in her front carrier and So many people awed over her. She was so precious. Chev sat perfectly in the stroller the entire time. Yesterday was one of the best days I have had an a long time. Everything went perfect, except when I couldnt find my keys and we nearly sweat to death trying to find them (ps I set them in my back window...who does that anyway?!)

cute sentences

Chev is talking more and more everyday. Her sentences are seeming more like sentences. The other day on own way to my dads house, we stopped at circle k for some beer, we all waited in the car while Daddy ran in really quick. Chev blurts out " Daddy come back, go Papa's House!" It was the cutest thing. It was by far the longest sentence she has said, and one of the cutest.

Yesterday on our way home a song came on the radio, Chev says to me "Mommy, Like song, yeah, Up" which I found out translated to Mommy I like this song turn it up. When I turned it down I was yelled at "No down, UP!!!!"

Congrats Kerri and Jonathon!!!

We just found out my step sister and her Husband are expecting their first baby next March!!!!! Were all SOOOOOOOO excited for them!!!

Speaking of Kerri and Jonathon, they were here this weekend visiting. So little Chey got to meet her aunt and uncle for the first time. We got together and had a bbq at my dad's house. Angie made bbq pork sandwiches, yummy potato salad, fresh fruit and ice cream...YUM YUM! All the cousins got to play and the adults got to catch up. Its so nice having so many kids so close in age! I can honestly say we all enjoyed ourselves.

4th of July

Once again we had the annual 4th of July BBQ at my moms house. Tons of people and tons of food. And of course we all ate WAY too much. I made my "famous" chocolate chocolate chip cookies....or as I call them my devils food cake cookies! They turned out so pretty!

Chev actually ventured off the top step in the pool. I managed to capture her cuteness, innocence and pure joy as she splashed around. The kids all had a blast. Nana White bought glow sticks for all the kids. I can honestly say I think it was the kids favorite part of the night. Most of them managed to keep an attention span long enough to enjoy the fireworks, the others just kept moving and walking around simply to stay awake. Chey on the other hand, slept her first holiday away, and she looked so precious doing it!!

And YES I was one of THOSE mothers, I dressed my girls alike. I couldn't help it. 4th of July was my first holiday as a Mommy of two girls. How could I resist dressing them the same. Besides they looked so cute!!!

weekend update...alittle late

Saturday, 06.28.08, My dear friend Bunmi, her husband Mike and their son Tristyn came over. Tristyn and Chey are EXACTLY one week apart. I shared my entire pregnancy with Bunmi because our due dates were exactly 3 weeks apart. We shared a lot of the same issues so it was fun to have a friend to complain to and share experiences with, after all misery loves company right?! So much similarities in our pregnancy, we were both given steroid shots, on the same meds, our baby showers were one week apart, our babies were born one week apart, in fact we discovered our waters broke at the same time, one week apart. WEIRD!! Tristyn was 3 weeks early so its crazy to see the size difference in the two of them. She is a full 3lb heavier. We hope they can continue to grow together. We plan on getting together once a month and taking a picture of them two of them together such as this one. It was nice to hang out with another set of new parents and Chev just adored Bunmi. We are looking forward to our next time we hang out.

Sunday, 06.29.08, woke up to find out the new trend on the streets is stealing Catalytic converters off of cars. Unfortunately we found out the hard way, Someone stole it off of hubby's truck...not happy!!!

I spent a lot of saturday and sunday sick, nice fevers and chills. Wasnt fun. Dr seems to think it possibly could have been caused by an infection in one of my milk ducts.

But on a positive side, were all good and healthy now.

p.s. I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!!!
